Job Summary
Prepare, compound, and formulate customized medications including sterile and non-sterile preparations such as injections and topical formulations. Perform quality checks, calculations, and ingredient verification to ensure safety and compliance with USP standards and FDA regulations. Collaborate with prescribers to develop customized therapies and communicate treatment options to patients and healthcare providers. Supervise pharmacy technicians and maintain accurate compounding records while assisting with general pharmacy operations. Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions available with competitive compensation and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Active Utah pharmacist license in good standing
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a pharmacy team
- Professional, dependable, and adaptable approach to pharmacy practice
Desired Qualifications
- Previous compounding experience preferred (but not required), including sterile and/or non-sterile compounding
- Working knowledge of pharmacy compounding regulations and standards
- Familiarity with USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800> preferred
