Pharmacist (Full-Time)

Job Summary
Compound and dispense medications while reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and suitability. Check patient charts for allergies, medical conditions, and potential interactions, then educate patients on dosage, side effects, and proper storage. Order pharmaceutical supplies, monitor inventory, and discuss over-the-counter options that work with prescribed medications. Provide immunizations, refer patients to other health professionals, and supervise pharmacy technicians. Collaborate with prescribing physicians to evaluate medication effectiveness and reach out to insurance companies for prior authorizations. Maintain patient records in compliance with legal requirements and HIPAA privacy laws. Plan, implement, and monitor procedures for storing, labeling, handling, preparing, and dispensing medications per legal guidelines. Prepare reports for leadership as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Current BLS certification
- Valid North Carolina pharmacist license
- High attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge of legal compliance
- Knowledge of FDA health and safety regulations
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to uphold the highest level of confidentiality
