Job Summary
Prepare, compound, and formulate customized medications including sterile and non-sterile preparations such as injections and topical formulations while adhering to USP standards and FDA requirements. Perform quality checks, document records, and verify ingredients to ensure safety and accuracy. Collaborate with prescribers to develop therapies and communicate with patients and providers regarding treatment options. Supervise pharmacy technicians and maintain a clean, organized compounding environment. Full-time, part-time, and PRN positions available with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Active Utah pharmacist license in good standing
Desired Qualifications
- Previous compounding experience preferred (but not required), including sterile and/or non-sterile compounding
- Working knowledge of pharmacy compounding regulations and standards
- Familiarity with USP <795>, USP <797>, and USP <800> preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and patient safety
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and professional phone etiquette
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a pharmacy team
- Professional, dependable, and adaptable approach to pharmacy practice
