Job Summary
Provide patient care through direct operational and clinical services in a hospital/health-system pharmacy. Ensure safe and appropriate use of medications by reviewing prescriptions for safety, efficacy, and appropriateness; perform drug information, patient education, and care-plan development; manage drug distribution, pharmacy operations, and regulatory compliance; participate in lab reviews, pharmacy consults, and interdepartmental education; may lead/charge pharmacist roles and assist in on-call coverage. Collaborates with prescribers and office staff, supports education of technicians, students, and new team members, and helps integrate pharmaceutical care throughout the patient’s continuum of care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from ACPE-approved college of Pharmacy; PharmD preferred
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed in SC within 4 months
- Experience - No experience required
- Knowledge of State BOP/DHEC/DEA rules/regulations
- Strong communication with prescribers, staff, patients; ability to educate and provide drug information
- Ability to handle urgent, stressful working conditions
- Ability to supervise pharmacy staff and oversee technicians
