Job Summary
Pharmacist Floater at West Penn Hospital within the Allegheny Health Network. Oversees dispensing, intravenous admixture, drug information, and drug therapy monitoring across multiple pharmacy locations with regular float travel. Exercises professional judgment to resolve medication-related problems, ensures safe, effective, and cost-conscious therapies, mentors technicians and students, manages inventory, and maintains compliance with HIPAA and privacy/security guidelines. Works with the primary pharmacy team while on float assignments and participates in performance improvement and regulatory compliance efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Required Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of PA at hire or sit for boards and obtain licensure within 120 days
- Reliable transportation to travel between sites
