Pharmacist Evenings PRN

Pharmacist ensures safe and effective medication use through accurate dispensing, review of orders, patient and family counseling on medication use and adherence, collaboration with physicians and nurses, and participation in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement. Responsibilities include preparing, verifying, and dispensing medications per prescription orders and hospital protocols; assessing regimens and making recommendations to optimize therapy; documenting clinical interventions in the EHR; maintaining inventory and identifying cost-saving opportunities; and staying current with pharmacotherapy advances. Requires a Pharmacy degree (PharmD or equivalent) and an active pharmacist license; 0-1 years hospital or retail pharmacy experience; BCPS preferred. Schedule is PRN, evenings (part-time).
