Job Summary
Pharmacist role including filling medication orders, interpreting orders, preparing sterile products via aseptic technique, ensuring safe storage per USP 800, and providing clinical drug information. Responsibilities span clinical consultation, recommending evidence-based regimens, participating in quality improvement and regulatory compliance, educating the interprofessional team and patients, overseeing pharmacy staff, and contributing to formulary and protocol development. Requires hospital experience, New York State licensure, and BLS/PALS/ACLS certifications; weekend coverage on Saturdays and Sundays on an alternating schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, Pharm D or equivalent foreign graduate degree, required
- Minimum of one (1) year of hospital work experience, required
- ASHP-accredited post-graduate residency training, preferred
- Current license and registration to practice as a pharmacist in New York State, required
- BLS, PALS, and ACLS certification, required
