Pharmacist

Interpret, compound, and dispense medications using standard procedures to fill written prescriptions from physicians and qualified prescribers. Enter drug orders and patient data into the computer profile, select and prepare products for inpatient and outpatient needs, and label items per procedure. Screen for allergies and interactions, provide drug information to healthcare personnel, and conduct pre-admission and discharge medication interviews. Review patient charts for accuracy, maintain records for controlled substances, and manufacture sterile products. Requires a Bachelor's in Pharmacy with internship, current New York State license, and one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred. Schedule includes every other weekend, holidays, and varied shifts.
