Job Summary
Oversee daily pharmacy operations to meet customer and patient expectations. Contribute to the development of pharmacy-specific policies and procedures in compliance with Joint Commission and other regulatory agency regulations. Actively participate in the interdisciplinary team, leveraging critical information for positive patient outcomes. Interpret, compound, and dispense medication accurately in adherence to legal and professional pharmacy standards. Ensure safe medication use while making crucial management decisions and exercising independent judgment. This role supports Encompass Health's mission as a leading national inpatient rehabilitation provider, offering opportunities to shape clinical services and integrate medication management into rehabilitative care.
Required Qualifications
- State pharmacy board licensure in good standing, for the state in which the hospital is located.
- Completion of a degree from an accredited pharmacy program or equivalent.
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
