Job Summary
Pharmacist-Clinical Staff on an overnight 7 on/7 off schedule provides age-specific pharmaceutical care and basic clinical services for assigned patient care areas. Responsibilities include managing medication orders with age-specific considerations, participating in pharmacotherapeutic plan processes, supervising and directing healthcare team members, preparing sterile products for dispensing, contributing to unit/department/hospital goals and reports, providing drug information and education, and actively participating on inter- and intra-departmental committees. Emphasizes safety and efficiency through automation and completes assigned goals.
Required Qualifications
- One year of hospital pharmacy experience
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
- Current, active, unrestricted pharmacy licensure for appropriate state
- Must acquire licensure within 120 days of hire date
- BLS and/or ACLS certification, advanced post-graduate training or equivalent clinical experience
- Basic computer literacy and strong communication skills
