Pharmacist Clinical Specialty

Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve drug-related problems, recommending formulary alternatives when appropriate. Compound and dispense medications for accurate patient delivery while providing drug information and education to medical staff and patients. Communicate with physicians and clinicians to facilitate care, oversee technical personnel for medication preparation and maintenance, and assist with academic functions such as precepting pharmacy students. Provide patient counseling when required and float to cover pharmacy needs as necessary.
