Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including responding to code strokes, resuscitations, and procedural sedations. Conduct clinical review of acute therapy regimens, coordinate drug adjustments, and assess physical and psychological signs of drug-related effects. Lead the medication reconciliation team by interpreting patient medication lists for optimal dosing, interactions, and allergies. Act as the pharmacy content expert developing emergency medicine guidelines, order sets, and educational materials for medical, pharmacy, and nursing staff.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. in Pharmacy
- Current, active license to practice pharmacy in New York State
- Eligible for reciprocal licensure from another state
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
Desired Qualifications
- Pharm. D.
- PGY2 in Emergency Medicine/Critical Care
- 3 years equivalent experience
- BCPS certification
- BCCCP certification
