Job Summary

Screen patient charts to ensure medication orders align with chart notes, lab work, vitals, and allergies. Process new and refill prescription orders, fill medications, and check filled orders for accuracy. Educate patients on medication therapy and answer provider questions regarding drug therapy, dosage, and dosage form. Recognize life-threatening emergencies, initiate resuscitation measures, and address adverse reactions to medications. Perform controlled substance audits, administer immunizations, and handle I.V. admixtures and inpatient drug distribution. Answer telephone calls and input outside prescriptions into the system. Complete required documents and chart notes in accordance with SERVICE UNITS Medical By-Laws and TJC accreditation standards. Participate in annual safety, infection control, and other mandatory training activities. Work full-time Monday through Friday in 8-hour shifts (0700-1530 or 0830-1700) at the Northern Cheyenne Health Center in Lame Deer, MT.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from an Accredited Pharmacy School Program
  • Must have an active, unrestricted, and free of disciplinary action license as a Pharmacist in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States
  • Zero (0) to one (1) year of experience as a registered Pharmacist
  • Current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Valid state driver's license from any of the 50 United States or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico
