Job Summary
Verify safe and appropriate medication administration, assess and dispense critical medications, and respond rapidly to palliative care prescriptions and delivery arrangements. Collaborate with pharmacy team members and resident care teams to ensure accurate, safe, and timely dispensing while conducting medication regimen reviews and maintaining inventory. Complete daily tasks per established policies, consult management on unresolved issues, and participate in training for new and existing staff. Maintain compliance with all provincial, federal, and corporate regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
- Proven ability to foster strong partnership with other members of the health care team
- Effective organization, planning, and time management skills
- Skilled in critical thought processes and ability to prioritize appropriately
- Self-directed, requiring minimal supervision and the ability to work independently
- Motivated to achieve results that reflect a high standard of quality
- Must demonstrate good listening skill and be adaptable to changes in job environment
- Previous Long Term pharmacy experience is an asset but not required
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Kroll Windows application preferred
