Job Summary
Pharmacist responsible for reviewing prescription orders for patients in long-term care, assisted living, and home-plus environments; verify orders for correctness, drug interactions, and clinical appropriateness, and check the compliance packaging of medications prior to delivery to facilities. Maintain knowledge and certification to compound sterile IVs (with in-house training) and non-sterile compounding. 40 hours per week with weekend rotations and on-call shifts; focus on geriatric drug information and coordinating safe medication prescribing with providers. Independent ownership of quality patient care within a family-oriented, multi-location Kansas/Missouri company environment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacist (PharmD)
- Pharmacy license
- Experience with long-term care or geriatric pharmacotherapy preferred
