Pharmacist - Ambulatory Care

Job Summary
Ambulatory Care Pharmacist responsible for leading patient-oriented pharmaceutical care including creation and maintenance of care plans, cost-effective drug monitoring, drug utilization, guideline development, and drug use evaluation within assigned clinical teams. Provides training and educational support to develop clinical skills in staff, disseminates knowledge and outcomes related to medication use, and leads interdisciplinary education on appropriate drug therapy.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program OR possess a Bachelor or Master of pharmacy degree with 10 years of experience
- Graduate of ASHP-accredited PGY-1 residency or ASHP PGY-2 residency relevant to practice area OR 4 years pharmacist experience in ambulatory care OR experience within a Nebraska Medicine ambulatory care clinic
- Excellence in clinical areas and ability to meet and contribute to updating standards of practice
- Maturity and leadership skills
- Licensed in the state of Nebraska or jurisdiction of practice upon start or transfer
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an AHA-endorsed program (effective for new hires starting Jan 1, 2023 or later) Preferred Qualifications: Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties (BPS) certification
