Job Summary
Pharmacist responsible for supporting pharmacy operations, ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications in a fast-paced dispensing environment. Oversees workflow, staff performance, and quality assurance; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations (including DEA and third-party payer requirements); supervises pharmacy technicians and production staff; reviews prescriptions and packaging; may assist with sterile IV medications; manages handling and inventory of medications including Schedule II substances; provides coverage evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations; adheres to HIPAA and organizational policies; maintains a clean, safe work environment and performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist license in good standing
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, regulations, and medication safety practices
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
