Job Summary
The Pharmacist role involves overseeing medication therapy management, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and providing patient-centered medication therapy. Responsibilities include identifying and resolving medication errors and drug-related issues, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, optimizing medication use, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D., three years of pharmacy experience, a valid state pharmacist license, and BLS certification. Preferred qualifications include completion of a PGY1 residency and Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an ACPE certified school of pharmacy
- 3 years of retail or specialty pharmacy
- Current Pharmacist license as granted by the appropriate state licensing authority obtained within 1 month of hire date
- American Heart Association BLS certification obtained within 6 months of hire date
Desired Qualifications
- Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 or specialty residency
- Board of Pharmacy Specialties certification
