Job Summary
Pharmaceutical Production Technician responsible for operating the cyclotron and associated chemistry modules for production and QC of PET radiopharmaceuticals in a cGMP environment. Duties include operating production equipment, performing maintenance and repairs on synthesis modules and analytical equipment, conducting radiopharmaceutical production and QC, maintaining regulatory records (FDA/cGMP compliance), ordering parts, and ensuring clean production areas. Requires strong troubleshooting skills, understanding of cGMP and radiation safety, and ability to work in a night-shift schedule with a 40-hour workweek. Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in a fast-paced setting; training background in physics/chemistry/engineering or equivalent, and pharmacy tech certification a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Academic background in physics, chemistry, engineering, or electronic technology; or completion of training at an advanced military electronics school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Experience in electrical, mechanical engineering, Physics, medical equipment services or equivalent.
- Pharmacy tech certification a plus.
- Experience working with ionizing radiation and radioactive equipment preferred.
