Job Summary
Pharma Field Sales Specialist I (Virtual) focused on cardiometabolic care in North Texas. Responsible for achieving sales goals by implementing marketing and sales strategies to promote Novo Nordisk portfolio to healthcare professionals and office staff through remote/virtual means. Build and maintain relationships with prescribers and support staff; develop territory business plans; manage outbound calls and inbound leads; utilize disease-state knowledge (diabetes and obesity) and product information to position NN therapies; collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive patient management and access. Requires a Bachelor’s degree or PharmD and sales/customer service experience; strong communication, independent work ethic, and ability to conduct virtual sales activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree, and/or PharmD required
- Previous experience in retail, non-retail/inside sales or customer service experience preferred
- Intermediate computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel)
- Must be a self-starter and able to work independently and exercise good business judgement and discretion
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Solid understanding of diabetes and obesity disease states and Novo Nordisk’s products is needed, coupled with aptitude for learning and ability to communicate technical and scientific product and disease management information
- Ability to establish rapport, build relationships and close sales
