Petroleum Transport Driver - Friday to Monday

Job Summary
Drive a transport truck to gas stations and commercial locations, loading and unloading bulk fuels while monitoring pumps, valves, and hoses for safety. Complete assigned paperwork and maintain vehicle safety standards during your Friday-to-Monday shift from 2pm to 2am. Physically operate equipment to load and unload trucks, including pulling hoses and climbing onto the tanker top. This role requires a CDL A license with haz-mat and tanker endorsements, one year of large truck experience, and the ability to work in snow, ice, and tight quarters. You must communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers while demonstrating patience during load waits. No over-the-road work; you return home every day.
Required Qualifications
- Possess a CDL A license, with proper haz-mat and tanker endorsements and medical card
- Minimum of one (1) year experience driving large truck
- Physically capable of using equipment to load and unload transport trucks, including pulling hoses and climbing onto the top of the tanker
- Physically capable to participate in heavy lifting, bending, squatting, climbing, carrying hoses/nozzles weighing 50 lbs
- Experience driving in snow, ice, other weather conditions, and maneuvering in tight quarters
- Acceptable driving record with no major convictions
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in written correspondence with dispatchers, logistics, and customers
- High school level math competence to verify quantities and volumes
- Must be able to read and understand road signs, instructions, routes and other paperwork
- Demonstrate a great attitude dealing with customers, coworkers, and other drivers including patience during load/wait times/traffic
- Pass a pre-employment DOT physical and drug screen
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb onto the top of the tanker
