Job Summary
Experienced Petroleum Construction Lead Technician responsible for installing/removing underground storage tanks (USTs), performing excavation with heavy equipment, installing piping, sumps, spill containment and monitoring systems, reading site plans/blueprints, and ensuring OSHA/EPA compliance on active job sites. Willingness to travel regionally; role supports coordinating with skilled trades, providing safe, efficient construction site operations, and completing documentation via laptops/mobile devices. Additional training may cover environmental sampling/testing, site inspections for regulatory and customer requirements, and maintenance/repair of petroleum fuel lines and tanks. Requires ICC-U1 certification (Colorado UST Installer/Remover license a plus), 2+ years of related experience, and ability to pass pre-employment screening; safety-sensitive position with travel and outdoor physical requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Active ICC-U1 Certification (Colorado UST Installer/Remover License a plus)
- 2+ years petroleum or UST construction experience
- Experience operating excavation equipment
- 40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER (preferred)
- Ability to travel regionally as needed
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record over past 5 years
