Job Summary
Walk, cuddle, and play with friendly dogs to brighten the days of frail and elderly residents at HammondCare. Ensure your pet remains calm, gentle, and up-to-date with vaccinations, worm treatment, and flea prevention. Keep nails short and blunt, and always maintain the dog on a lead during visits. Share laughter and smiles to improve quality of life and reduce isolation for residents. One-hour visits occur weekly or fortnightly between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday. This volunteer role supports HammondCare's Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme, funded by the Australian Government, connecting the local community with people in need through the love of dogs.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare
