Job Summary

PET Tech – every other Saturday 7am-5:30pm at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital (Mass General Brigham) performing nuclear medicine procedures including radiopharmaceutical administration, image acquisition, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Responsibilities include patient identification, documentation, pre- and post-procedure instructions, adherence to Universal Protocol, image quality assessment, and communication with physicians. Work within Radiology Imaging Services following Joint Commission and ALARA radiation safety guidelines. Maintain compliance with department standards, QA/QI activities, and documentation in RIS; operate Visage PACS, EPIC, and Pyxis systems. Required to have active NH Medical Imaging licensure (CNMT or ARRT) and current BLS with certifications and IV certification timelines; ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year PET/Nuc Med experience and an AAS in Nuclear Medicine with strong computer and teamwork skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience minimum 1 year PET Tech or Nuc Med Tech Experience
  • Education Minimum Required AAS Approved training program in Nuclear Medicine
  • Licensure and/or Certifications Required NH Medical Imaging License CNMT or ARRT
  • BLS w/in 3 mos of hire

Desired Qualifications

  • AAS approved training program in Nuclear Medicine
  • CNMT or ARRT licensure (NH Medical Imaging License preferred)
  • BLS certification within 3 months of hire
  • IV Certification within 6 months of hire
  • 1 year PET Tech or Nuclear Medicine tech experience (minimum)
  • Strong computer skills and ability to document accurately
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of ALARA and radiation safety protocols
  • Familiarity with PACS (Visage), EPIC, and Pyxis systems
  • Ability to make professional judgments based on objective criteria
