Pet Stylist / Groomer - Pooler

Job Summary
Provide consultations, explain services and costs, and professionally greet and check in guests. Cut multiple guests daily in a safe, skillful manner while checking for parasites, lumps, bumps, or cuts prior to bathing. Clean and pluck ears, trim nails, express external anal glands, and bathe guests with proper shampoo and conditioner. Perform general maintenance of the grooming room, including cleaning cages, tubs, tables, and vacuuming floors. Grow the customer base by making calls, cross-selling, and identifying potential service needs during downtime. Work inside a heated, high-humidity area with loud background noise from dryers.
Required Qualifications
- One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Customer service oriented and excellent verbal communication skills
- Must be familiar with standard cuts for all breeds and be able to handle a variety of sizes of canines and felines safely and comfortably
- Great work ethic, organized, reliable, and a team player
- Must maintain a clean and healthy environment for 'guests'
- Flexibility to resort schedule needs including days, night, weekends, holidays, and peak times
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
