Job Summary
Enter client homes to visit pets for 15–30 minute intervals, acting as primary caregivers while owners are away. Walk pets, feed them, clean litter boxes and cages, ensure water supplies are full, and patrol for accidents or damage. Clean any discovered messes and communicate with management regarding pet needs. Maintain a Northern VA residence within 5 miles of 22301, own a reliable vehicle and smartphone with data, and commit to a minimum of six months. Compensation is $24–28 per hour plus per-visit tips for this part-time supplemental income role.
Required Qualifications
- Northern VA residence within 5 miles of 22301 is preferred
- Must have your own, reliable mode of transportation to perform the duties and responsibilities associated with this role
- Must have your own reliable Smart Phone with internet access and data plan
- Must be extremely detail oriented
- Able to follow detailed instructions
- Must be responsible, reliable, and dependable
- Must be timely and punctual
- Must be able to self-manage
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be compassionate about animals
- Must feel comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large animals
- Must be willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
- Must be able to make at least a 6 month commitment, however longer is preferred
- Must be able to pass criminal background check
