Job Summary
Feed, water, exercise, medicate, and walk pets in their own homes while families work or travel. Send detailed photo-filled visit updates through our app and notice changes in a pet's health, behavior, or routine. Follow each family's specific care instructions and provide excellent customer service to pets and their people. Maintain home and pet safety, clean up messes including litter boxes, and ensure everyone is tucked in for the night. Work independently with a reliable vehicle and smartphone, available four days weekly during breakfast, dinner, and bedtime windows including weekends and holidays. Earn approximately $250 per week plus tips for 10 to 25 hours of work.
Required Qualifications
- A positive, drama free attitude
- A high school diploma or GED
- A clean background check
- A reliable vehicle and valid driver's license
- A smartphone with an active data plan
- Confidence around pets of all sizes and personalities, including dogs who may greet you with loud barking, jumping, nervousness, hiding, or other less than perfect manners
- Compassion for nervous, senior, and special needs pets
- The physical ability to walk, bend, reach, climb stairs, and lift at least 15 pounds
- The ability to work independently and follow written instructions carefully
- The ability to accept feedback, learn our systems, and then confidently work on your own
- Reliable availability four days each week during breakfast, dinner, and bedtime visit windows, including weekends and most major holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Experience is welcome, but it isn't required. We'll train the right person.
