Job Summary
Join the Imaging Services Team as a PET/Nuclear Medical Technologist responsible for utilizing professional judgment to adapt imaging procedures, ensuring quality diagnostic outcomes. Duties include selecting appropriate action plans, performing venipuncture, administering radioactive materials or contrast agents, and documenting patient and exam occurrences. Candidates should have extensive knowledge in Nuclear Medicine and PET procedures, as well as experience in a patient care environment with exposure to infectious diseases and radiation. Certification by relevant regulatory bodies and strong communication skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program
- Current registration and licensure by the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS)
- Current registration and licensure by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine (NM) or Current Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Education preferred from an accredited program for Nuclear Medicine Technology via ARRT or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist via NMTCB
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyze and apply theory to practice skills
