Job Summary
Perform daily check-ups and quality control on CT scanners, including weekly Emergency Crash Cart QC. Review requisitions, interview patients for medical history, and administer oral and IV contrast while explaining benefits and risks. Position patients, select scan parameters, and monitor patients during exams. Review images for quality and abnormalities, verify image transmission to PACS, and complete documentation. Perform IV insertion following OSHA guidelines and adhere to radiation protection and recordkeeping protocols. Work 4x10 hours with Wednesday off.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT)
- CPR
- MRT
- NMTCB (PET)
- ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT)
- NMTCB (PET) after twelve (12) months
- ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) six months after the PET registry
- Three to Five years of experience performing PET/CT exams
