Job Summary
Perform daily check-ups and quality control on CT scanners, review requisitions, and interview patients for medical history. Prepare patients for exams, administer oral and IV contrast, and position patients appropriately while selecting scan parameters. Monitor patients during scanning, review images for quality and abnormalities, and verify image transmission to PACS. Perform IV insertion as needed, record patient history, and complete documentation and file notations. Adhere to OSHA guidelines, radiation protection standards, and recordkeeping protocols. Conduct weekly Emergency Crash Cart QC and work cooperatively with radiologists.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB (CNMT)
- CPR
- MRT
- NMTCB (PET)
- ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT)
- NMTCB (PET) after twelve (12) months
- ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) six months after the PET registry
- Three to Five years of experience performing PET/CT exams
