Job Summary
Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and radiation safety regulations when working with radioactive materials. Produce high-quality diagnostic images by effectively interpreting physician orders and selecting appropriate imaging parameters. Communicate with patients and radiologists to explain procedures and ensure comfort. Train new technologists and troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment including monitors and PACS. Work in various environments such as freestanding outpatient centers, mobile coaches, or hospital-based facilities across Jersey City, Newark, Rahway, and Elizabeth. Requires NMTCB or ARRT certification, state license, CPR, and valid driver's license. Full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N)
- State license, as required
- CPR certification
- As applicable, valid state driver's license
- Ability to work at several locations
- Strong customer service skills
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or Equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies
