Pet Client Services Assistant

Pet Help Assistant provides direct support to pet owners during animal intake appointments, community medical services, lost pet inquiries, humane euthanasia appointments, and pet aftercare services within a shelter environment. You will guide individuals through sensitive conversations with compassion and professionalism, help coordinate animal intake processes, maintain accurate records and documentation, respond to phone calls and emails, process payments, and assist with pet reunification and aftercare services while balancing empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail. The role involves supporting people through emotionally charged moments and ensuring a respectful, supportive experience for both pets and their owners. The position is full-time temporary through November 2026, with potential for longer-term employment depending on organizational needs and performance, and may require lifting up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced shelter setting.
