Pet Care Assistant at Banfield Pet Hospitals supports the veterinary team by preparing treatment rooms with necessary medical items, restraining and handling pets during examinations and procedures, performing routine in-house tests, and maintaining a clean, efficient hospital flow. Provides client education on preventive care and wellness plans, assists the Client Services Coordinator as needed, and contributes to a welcoming, courteous environment to encourage client satisfaction and referrals. Needs strong English communication, the ability to multi-task and stay organized, problem-solving skills, comfort with animals and basic computer use. Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, and be available for evenings and weekends. The role emphasizes teamwork, attentiveness to patient comfort, and adherence to hospital protocols and state regulations.
