Job Summary
Pet Care Assistant works with the veterinary medical team to provide and prepare for the best medical care of pets in a happy, welcoming, and efficient environment. Responsibilities include preparing the treatment room and medical supplies for examinations, setting up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings, monitoring hospitalized patients, providing client education on preventive care and wellness plans, restraining pets during procedures, performing routine in-house tests, maintaining hospital cleanliness, and supporting client services staff. Requires strong communication, multitasking, organizational, problem-solving, and client-service skills; ability to work weekend/evening hours as part of a team in a Banfield Pet Hospital setting.
