Job Summary
Pet Care Assistant works with the veterinary medical team to provide and prepare for the best medical care of pets in a happy, welcoming, and efficient manner; prepares the treatment room with necessary medical items, restrains and handles pets during examinations, prepares in-house lab tests, provides client education on preventive care and wellness plans, supports Client Services Coordinator, maintains hospital cleanliness, and performs other duties as assigned; requires strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and customer service skills, and may require working weekends and evenings; must be able to stand/walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a hospital environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma preferred
- One year of related experience required with customer service preferred
