Job Summary
Pet Care Assistant works with the veterinary medical team to provide and prepare for the best medical care of pets, ensure a happy, welcoming, and efficient experience, and influence clients to return or refer friends. Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, setting up fecals, smears, and skin scrapings, maintaining the Cycle of Service, providing client education on preventive care and wellness plans, restraining and handling animals during examinations or procedures, preparing routine in-house lab tests, monitoring hospitalized patients, and maintaining hospital cleanliness and organization. Requires strong English communication, multi-tasking, problem solving, client service, and computer skills; emphasizes teamwork, integrity, initiative, flexibility, and dedication to high-quality pet care.
