Pest Management Specialist

Job Summary
Monitor GP farms daily for pests and activity, supervise the Pest Management Specialist team, and execute corrective actions on problem areas. Legibly complete weekly reports documenting findings and follow-up actions while observing and enforcing on-farm bio-security practices. Adhere strictly to company pest management programs, health and safety regulations, SDS sheets, and chemical label instructions. Maintain excellent communication and organizational skills to drive future program improvements. This role supports Aviagen's mission to feed the world's future generations through innovative approaches to the poultry industry.
Required Qualifications
- Pest management experience
- Supervisory experience
- Computer application skills working with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be trust worthy, honest and loyal
- Must be a self-motivator with the ability to perform task with accuracy and efficiency
- Must be detailed in following company pest management programs
- Keen observation is a must for future developments to improve pest management programs
- Health and safety rules and regulations must be followed
- Understanding of SDS sheets
- Knowing how to read labels on chemicals used for proper applications
- Understanding of environmental regulations
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Capable of obtaining chemical applicator licenses
- Valid driver's license with clean MVR
- Must be able to pass background check
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required
