Job Summary
Pest Control Technician Trainee participate in a 5-week paid training program to learn pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques; establish effective working relationships with commercial customers in hospitality and foodservice; collaborate with customers on best practices to identify and solve pest elimination needs; maintain expertise in Ecolab’s pest control products and services; document pest issues using handheld equipment; and obtain required pest control licensing/certification as mandated by state/local law. The role involves working in a field-based, customer-facing environment around Wilkes-Barre, PA, with supervision during the training period, and opportunities to grow toward service, sales, or management tracks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of work or military experience
- Current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions
- Ability to obtain pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law
- Availability to work overnight shifts and be on call during off-hours and weekends as needed
- Pass the background check and drug test requirements
