Job Summary
Pest Control Technician Trainee in Livonia, MI, joining Ecolab’s Pest Elimination team to protect public health and commercial facilities through science-based pest solutions. You’ll participate in a 5-week paid training program to learn pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques, establish relationships with commercial customers (hospitality/foodservice), and document issues with handheld equipment. The role emphasizes gaining licensing/certification per state/local law, field-based service under supervision, and potential paths into service, sales, or management. Training location includes Livonia and a one-week training trip to Eagan, MN. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of work or military experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work overtime/weekends; pest certification or business licensing will be pursued as required. The position offers full-time hours, day shift, and a comprehensive benefits package after starting, with total compensation ranging from $51,200 to $76,700 annually depending on plan terms and performance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of work or military experience
- Current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions
- Availability to work overnight shifts and be on call during off-hours and weekends as needed
- Position requires obtaining pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law

- Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds, wearing a respirator, and working in varied conditions
