Job Summary
Pest Control Technician responsible for safely operating a company vehicle on daily routes, inspecting and treating for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and other outdoor pests, and educating customers on service expectations while maximizing up-sale opportunities. Must maintain professional customer relations, manage chemical and operational records per state requirements, keep service vehicles clean and organized, handle pesticides safely per regulations, complete pesticide certification and continuing education, and physically handle tasks (e.g., lifting up to 60 lbs) across various weather conditions. The role emphasizes growth contribution through customer rapport, with a focus on safety, compliance, and high-quality field service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must complete a background check and a drug screen prior to employment
- Must be able to carry and lift at least 60 lbs
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, at least 40 hours a week
- Must be available to work during blackout periods (no PTO approved)
- Must have some previous experience working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Previous pest control experience preferred
- Must maintain chemical and operational records per state requirements
- Must complete pesticide certification requirements and continuing education requirements
