Job Summary
Pest Control Technician position located in Powder Springs, GA, with Mosquito Joe. Responsibilities include safely operating a company vehicle on daily routes, inspecting and treating for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and other outdoor pests, explaining services and procedures to customers, building and maintaining strong customer relationships, maintaining chemical and operational records per state requirements, keeping service vehicles clean and organized, handling pesticides in accordance with state and federal regulations, meeting pesticide certification and continuing education requirements, assisting customers and contributing to growth, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires outdoor work, ability to carry 60 lbs, valid driver’s license, background checks, drug screen, and full-time availability with flexible hours. Education requirement is high school diploma or GED; prior outdoor work and pest control experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must have some previous experience working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Previous pest control experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must complete a background check and a drug screen prior to employment
- Must be able to carry and lift at least 60 lbs
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, at least 40 hours a week
- Must be available to work during black out periods (no PTO approved) [week before/after Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day]
