Job Summary
Pest Control Technician needed in Marietta, GA to safely operate a company vehicle on daily routes, inspect and treat for outdoor pests (mosquitoes, fleas, ticks), and explain procedures to customers while pursuing up-sale opportunities. Maintain records, ensure safe handling of pesticides per state and federal regulations, keep the service vehicle clean, and complete pesticide certification and continuing education. Must be able to walk properties with equipment weighing over 60 lbs for extended periods, contribute to company growth by building customer rapport, and perform other duties as assigned. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, background check, drug screen, ability to lift 60 lbs, and flexibility to work 40 hours/week with blackout-period availability. Previous outdoor work and pest control experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must complete a background check and a drug screen prior to employment
- Must be able to carry and lift at least 60 lbs
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, at least 40 hours a week
- Must be available to work during blackout periods (weeks around Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)
- Must have some previous outdoor work experience
