Job Summary
Pest Control Technician in Lithia Springs, GA responsible for inspecting and treating outdoor pests (mosquitoes, fleas, ticks) at residential and commercial properties. Duties include safely operating a company vehicle on daily routes, performing inspections and treatments, maximizing up-sale opportunities, maintaining professional customer relationships, keeping chemical and operational records per state requirements, ensuring clean service vehicles, handling pesticides in compliance with regulations, completing pesticide certification and continuing education, and assisting with growth of the company. Must be able to walk properties carrying equipment weighing 60 lbs for extended periods, hold a valid driver’s license, pass a background check and drug screen, and work flexible hours (minimum 40 hours/week) with blackout period availability.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Must have some previous experience working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Previous pest control experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must complete a background check and a drug screen prior to employment
- Must be able to carry and lift at least 60 lbs
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, at least 40 hours a week
- Must be available to work during black out periods (no PTO approved) [week before/after Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day]
