Job Summary
Mosquito Joe is hiring a Pest Control Technician in Gainesville, GA. Responsibilities include safely operating a company vehicle to complete daily routes, visually inspecting and treating for mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, and other outdoor pests, explaining service expectations to customers while maximizing up-sale opportunities, maintaining excellent customer relationships, keeping chemical and operational records per state requirements, keeping service vehicles clean and organized, handling pesticides safely per state/federal regulations, completing pesticide certification and continuing education requirements, and contributing to company growth by establishing rapport with potential customers. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, outdoor work experience, a valid driver’s license, a background check and drug screen, ability to lift at least 60 lbs, and availability for at least 40 hours per week with blackout-period availability. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must have some previous experience working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Previous pest control experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Must complete a background check and a drug screen prior to employment
- Must be able to carry and lift at least 60 lbs
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, at least 40 hours a week
- Must be available to work during black out periods (no PTO approved) [week before/after Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day]
