Job Summary
Pest Control Technician Trainee in San Francisco, CA, participating in a 5-week paid training program to learn pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques. You’ll establish relationships with commercial customers (hospitality and foodservice), partner to identify pest-elimination needs, maintain expertise on Ecolab’s product and service offerings, document issues with handheld equipment, deliver timely service under supervision, and obtain required pest-control licensing/certification as mandated by law. The role emphasizes independent field-based work, protecting public health and customer brands through science-based solutions, and growth opportunities in service, sales, or management. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, two years of work or military experience, a valid driver’s license, ability to work night shifts and weekends, 18+ years old, pest certification/licensing, and background/drug testing as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of work or military experience
- Current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions
- Availability to work overnight shifts and be on call during off-hours and weekends
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must obtain pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law
- Background check for job offer
- Drug test including THC for all candidates who receive a job offer
- Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds chest high
- Wearing and using a respirator
- Driving a company vehicle as required
- Must be able to work in various conditions
