Job Summary
Pest Control Technician Trainee in Needham, MA, joining Ecolab’s Pest Elimination team. The role includes a 5-week paid training program to learn pest detection, elimination, and prevention techniques, establishing relationships with commercial customers (hospitality and foodservice), and identifying pest elimination needs in partnership with customers. You’ll maintain expertise on Ecolab products, document issues with handheld equipment, deliver high-quality service under supervision, and obtain required pest control licensing/certification as mandated by state/local law. The position requires a HS diploma or equivalent, two years of work or military experience, a valid driver’s license, availability for overnight/on-call schedules, and eligibility to obtain pest certification/licensing. Travel during training (one week in Eagan, MN) is required. Immigration sponsorship is not available. The role emphasizes independent field work in a flexible, field-based environment, with a compensation range of $53,600–$80,300 annually and comprehensive benefits after training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of work or military experience
- Current and valid Driver’s License with no restrictions
- Availability to work overnight shifts and be on call during off-hours and weekends
- Must be 18 years or older
- Obtaining pest certification and/or business licensing pursuant to state/local law
- Background check on all candidates
- Drug test for all candidates who receive job offer
