Job Summary
As a Pest Control Technician, you will spend your day traveling to appointments to assess pest problems in and around homes and workplaces, and execute specialized treatment plans to solve pest issues while building long-term relationships through honesty, empathy, and outstanding customer service. You’ll receive paid training, have the potential for advancement, and work in a fast-paced environment with opportunities for growth. The role requires being at least 18 years old, the ability to move about customer locations and lift up to 50 pounds, work outdoors in seasonal weather, being proficient with computers/smartphones, and possessing a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Strong communication skills and English proficiency are essential, along with flexible availability including some weekends. The position is based in Richmond, VA, with a take-home company vehicle for field duties and year-round employment through American Pest (Anticimex network).
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years with an acceptable driving record
- The ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
- Good oral and written communication
- Solid attention to detail
- Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule (between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.)
- Availability to work some weekends
