Job Summary
Pest Control Technician duties include inspecting buildings or grounds to determine condition, evaluating reports to assess work needs, recommending products or services to customers, treating facilities to eliminate pests, creating barriers to prevent entry, setting mechanical traps and placing bait, removing dead rodents after extermination, and designing pest management plans. Role requires passing state general applicator license exams, after which hands-on training begins. Must be organized, efficient, and possess practical problem-solving abilities, with strong customer-facing communication and interpersonal skills. Requires the ability to work in all weather conditions, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work after hours or Saturdays. Based in Fallon, Nevada.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Thorough knowledge of the use and characteristics of pesticide
- Able to bend, climb, reach, kneel, etc., for extended periods
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work after hours, or Saturdays
