Job Summary
The Personnel Security Coordinator will manage the end-to-end CAC credentialing lifecycle for C5MI’s government contractor workforce and maintain records of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE). Responsibilities include CAC and RAPIDS issuance, TASS sponsorship, DEERS enrollment, SF86/eQIP guidance, FBI fingerprint scheduling, background investigations status tracking across DoD sponsors, interim eligibility determinations, RAPIDS site coordination, CAC renewals, GFE tracking, and monthly status reporting. The role requires handling a 280+ resource portfolio with 6–12 new onboardings per month, ensuring timely onboarding and adherence to sponsor procedures, while staying current on DoD credentialing policies and protecting sensitive information.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in government contractor personnel security, identity management, or a closely related administrative role supporting one or more DoD agencies
- Working knowledge of the CAC credentialing process including TASS, DEERS, eQIP/SF86, and RAPIDS; ability to guide applicants through each step independently
- Familiarity with Public Trust / Tier 3 background investigation processes and DoD agency sponsorship procedures; ability to learn and adapt to agency-specific process variations across a multi-customer portfolio
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume, multi-stage pipeline of personnel actions simultaneously (6–12 new resources per month at various stages of processing)
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills; proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent tools for tracker and file maintenance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex government processes clearly to resources unfamiliar with the credentialing system
- S. citizenship required (mandatory for TASS Trusted Agent credentialing and Public Trust sponsorship responsibilities)
- Ability to obtain and maintain TASS Trusted Agent designation prior to or within 30 days of start date
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
