Job Summary
Personnel Security & Contractor Operations Specialist responsible for managing end-to-end contractor onboarding for federal programs, coordinating security processes, and handling sensitive information with discretion. Will maintain contractor records across internal and government platforms, coordinate provisioning/deprovisioning (including access, credentials, and equipment), and oversee offboarding procedures. Will administer personnel security processes (clearance submissions, reinvestigations, visit requests) and support related systems (DISS, NBIS, NISS) while ensuring compliance with NISPOM and DCSA standards. Will assist with security inspections, audits, incident reporting, and corrective actions; maintain PII/CUI handling practices; track annual training and NDAs; draft internal communications; support reporting for leadership and customers; and collaborate cross-functionally with recruiting, operations, and security stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 3–5 years of experience supporting federal contracting operations, personnel security, contractor onboarding, HR operations, or compliance administration
- Familiarity with federal contractor onboarding processes and federal government security requirements
- Working knowledge of personnel security processes, including clearance coordination and access management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Experience handling sensitive or confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Experience using SharePoint, Airtable, Adobe Acrobat, or related platforms
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
